What is Clarity?

Clarity is a privacy-first thinking partner for your iPhone. It uses Socratic questioning and eight structured frameworks — Pros & Cons, Friend’s Advice, 10-10-10 Analysis, Regret Minimization, Pre-Mortem, Values Alignment, Fear Setting, and Ideal Week Design — to help you work through decisions, articulate your values, and track your goals, all without your data ever leaving your device.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything — your conversations, values, goals, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. Nothing is sent to our servers because we don't have servers that store user data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does Clarity use AI like ChatGPT?

Clarity uses its own on-device response engine — it is not connected to OpenAI, Google, or any cloud-based large language model. Responses are generated locally through pattern-matching and pre-authored Socratic content tailored to your context.

What's the difference between Free, Personal, and Executive?

Free gives you 10 sessions per month with basic frameworks. Personal removes session limits and unlocks full context memory and all 8 frameworks. Executive adds weekly insight reports, goal tracking, and data export. Both paid plans include a 7-day free trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your device's Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Clarity → Cancel Subscription. You'll retain access through the end of your current billing period. Apple handles all billing — we never see your payment details.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the Clarity purchase you'd like refunded.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open Clarity → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Your subscription status will be restored automatically.

Can I transfer my data to a new device?

If you set up your new device from an iCloud backup or a direct device-to-device transfer, your Clarity data will be included. We do not currently offer a standalone export/import for data migration outside of Apple's device transfer.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual conversations by swiping left in the conversation list. To remove all data, delete the Clarity app from your device — this permanently erases all locally stored information. Since we hold no copy of your data, deletion is immediate and irreversible.
